The purpose of this glossary is to understand some words that we are doing about our integrating project in the English language.
Architectonic mock-up
It is a physical representation on a reduced scale of a building, urban project, or parts of it. The representation can be very simple, of only volumes, to extremely detailed, similar to a diorama.
Example: This architectural model shows how the cultural complex will be
es: Maqueta arquitectónica
Architectonic program
Refers to a study of spatial needs, as well as the linking and hierarchization of spaces.
Example: The architectural program of this house has few spaces
es: Programa arquitectónico
Architectural bonding
Relating to two spaces that are connected to each other thanks to a third party, who acts as an intermediary.
Example: the architectural bonding is key for a good project and distribution of spaces.
es: Vinculación arquitectónica
Architectural cladding
Refers to components that are attached to the primary structure of a building to form non-structural, external surfaces. This is as opposed to buildings in which the external surfaces are formed by structural elements, such as masonry walls, or applied surfaces such as render.
Example: Architectural cladding is only aesthetic
es: Revestimiento arquitectónico
Architectural concept
Is an idea, thought or notion that forms the backbone and foundation of a design project and one that drives it forward. It becomes the force and identity behind a project progress and is consistently consulted throughout every stage of its development.
Example: The architectural concept is the beginning of a good project.
es: Concepto arquitectónico
Architectural facades
It is the outer face of a building. The concept makes it possible to refer to all the exterior walls of the building
Example: The facade of this house looks very pretty
es: Fachadas arquitectónicas
Architectural plants
It is the representation of a body on a horizontal plane. It is obtained by means of a parallel projection, perpendicular to the horizontal projecting plane, therefore, without perspective.
Example: The architectural plans of this project are well laid out
es: Plantas arquitectónicas
Architectural section
It is the representation of a vertical plane that cuts an object and helps us and the people who will observe our plans to better understand the project in a more graphic and visual way.
Example: With this architectural section we can see where the stairs pass
es: Sección arquitectónica
Architecture
It is the art and technique of projecting, designing and building, modifying the human habitat, studying the aesthetics, good use and function of spaces, whether architectural or urban.
Example: Architecture is the most beautiful profession
es: Arquitectura
Complex cultural
A cultural center or cultural establishment, and sometimes a cultural center for community elders, is designated as the place in a community destined to maintain activities that promote culture among its inhabitants.
Example: Nationalism is a culture complex.
es: Complejo cultural
Construction materials
It is an elaborated product used in the construction of buildings or civil engineering works.
Example: The construction material of this wall is brick
es: Materiales constructivos
Construction system
Are the ways in which materials are combined to construct the elements of a building. They can be classified according to the mass of the system into heavyweight and lightweight construction.
Example: The construction system of that building looks very heavy
es: Sistema constructivo
Contour lines
It is that line that on a map joins all the points that have equal conditions, usually altitude above sea level or depth.
Example: The contour lines of this terrain have a high altitude
es: Curvas de nivel
Executive Project
It is where the important decisions of a design are defined. It is the part where every detail of the project is seen, that is, it specifies the materials and components that will be used in the execution of the project.
Example: All the requirements of an executive project were met
es: Proyecto ejecutivo
Foundation
It is the set of structural elements of a structure whose mission is to transmit its loads or elements supported on it to the ground, distributing them in such a way that they do not exceed their allowable pressure or produce zonal loads.
Example: The foundation of the cultural center will be of isolated footings
es: Cimentación
Graphic scale
It is the representation drawn on a map, nautical chart or a plane with a unit-by-unit scale, where each segment shows the relationship between the length of the representation and that of reality.
Example: The graphic scale of this plane is 1: 100
es: Escala gráfica
Land zoning
Is how local governments, such as city councils, restrict the physical development and use of specific parcels of land.
Example: Shawn owns a piece of undeveloped land outside of town that consists mostly of trees
es: Zonificación de la tierra
Organic architecture
is a philosophy of architecture which promotes harmony between human habitation and the natural world. This is achieved through design approaches that aim to be sympathetic and well-integrated with a site, so buildings, furnishings, and surroundings become part of a unified, interrelated composition.
Example: Organic architecture must seem to have been born in the environment.
es: Arquitectura orgánica

Example: The ornament of that house is very exaggerated

Example: I base myself on this previous solution to design my project
es: Soluciones anteriores
Sketch
It is a simple drawing, without too many elements, and reflects the overall idea of the architectural idea, capturing in a basic way the design of the work that is to be built.
Example: With this sketch I show you my architectural idea
es: Boceto
Slab
It is a construction material for buildings used, for example, to pave the ground, build roofs or cover walls.
Example: The slab of the house looks saggy
es: Losa
Structure
It is the part of the assembly that supports and distributes loads, that is, it forms the static equilibrium of the building.
Example: The structure of this house looks very fragile
es: Estructura
Urban layout
